My name is Lisa Kerr and I am the sole proprietor of Out Of The Doghouse Grooming Service. OOTDH opened in January 2010 and just celebrated our 1 year anniversary, and what a great year it has been.
I am the pack leader of 3 rescued dogs and after having problems with getting them groomed elsewhere, I decided to groom them myself, and took a dog grooming course. I enjoyed it so much I decided to make a career change and open my own business.
I have experience dealing with difficult animals and I am a true animal lover. I have always had numerous pets since I was a child. My goal in opening a home grooming service is to provide compassionate and gentle grooming on a one on one basis with your dog. I take into account each individual dogs needs and groom them to the best of my ability, while keeping them comfortable and calm.
Your dogs will be worked on only by me from start to finish, and not have to compete with other dogs for my attention. While your dog is in my care, it's needs will come first. Your dog will never be left unattended and will be given as much time as needed for the grooming to be completed. I only accept a maximum of 4 dogs per day, to allow each dog the time to enjoy the grooming experience. If your dog is difficult to groom, it may take time for he/she to get used to the experience, but I will spend the time to try and make it a more comfortable experience with less stress for them.
I offer appointments during the day, but also evenings and Saturday and Sunday appointments are available to accommodate everyone.
I groom all dogs, from the smallest to the giant breeds. By using an electric table it reduces the risk of injury to all dogs, especially the larger breeds, and since there is no need for me to lift the dogs, the chances of injury to myself or the dog is extremely unlikely.
Regular grooming is always preferred and prices will be discounted for regular clients who book within the recommended amount of time, which is based on your dogs needs. Regular grooming can prevent some health conditions, and your pets health and well being are a priority.
